How to Attract What You Want
Tuesday, November 6th, 2007
You don’t need to read another book. You don’t need to attend another seminar or lecture. It you really want to create the life of your dreams there is a shortcut. This is what Joe Vitale tells us in his book The Attractor Factor.
Here’s the secret to creating the life the way you want it:
Be happy now.
Think about it. If you can be happy right now, in this moment, you will have achieved whatever you want. That’s because beneath all of our desires is the ultimate desire for happiness.
Ralph Parlette once wrote, “Whatever we do, we are doing it to be happy, whether we realize it or not.”
You want to make more money so you will be happy.
You want a better relationship so you will be happy.
You want better health so you will be happy.
Happiness is your true goal.
An even bigger secret is this: You don’t need to have anything else in order to be happy right now in this moment. You can simply, powerfully, choose to be happy.
Try this interesting exercise. Use your favorite internet search engine and type in the search window “happiness is a choice.” You will find a wealth of information to support this truth.
Our inner thoughts create our outer feeling. The next time you are feeling discouraged, depressed, or distressed ask yourself, “What am I thinking?” You will find that you are thinking negative thoughts. Change your thoughts and you will change your feelings. Choose to be happy. Like Wayne Dyer says, “When I change the way I look at things, the things I look at change.”

How to Become A Millionaire
Tuesday, October 30th, 2007When Scrully Blotnick, Ph.D. psychologist decided to track the lives of people who wanted
to become wealthy in 1960, he set up a study to track 1,500 people. They were put into two categories: Category A said they would pursue money first in their life and then do what they REALLY wanted to do later. 1,245 of the 1500 people went into that group. Category B, was made up of the remaining 255 people. They said they would pursue their passion first, and trust that the money would follow. What happened?
Twenty years later, there were 101 millionaires from the entire group. Only one came from Group A, the group who pursued money first. The remaining 100 millionaires all came from group B, the group who decided to pursue their passions first and trust that the money would follow.
So, where is your focus — on money or passion?
It was discovered that truly wealthy people find their work involving, absorbing, and enthralling.
Think about that. Check yourself on those qualities:
- To what extend do you truly care about your work or some work that you long to do?
- To what extend do you love it, value it, and recognize it as something significant that you do?
- To what degree do you enjoy it? Do you view it passionately?
- What have you come to enjoy about it?
- How have you learned that enjoyment?
You may not agree with this yet. That’s OK. But imagine for a moment that the way to true wealth is to simply fall in love with what you do?

The Easy Path VS The Hard Path
Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007
There is an easy path through life and a hard path. Some people try to climb up the rocky side of the mountain while others take the Sky Lift up. You can take the hard path through life or the easy path. It’s all up to you and the choices you make. The hard path is the path of resistance. It is when you learn life’s lessons the hard way. It is stubbornness and ego. It is the need to be right. It is the path of conflict, pain, failed relationships, disappointment, scarcity, and problems. It involves climbing over rough rocks and steep ravines in an effort to reach the top of the mountain. Some never make it. The mountain takes its toll.
On the other hand, the easy path is the path of least resistance. It is when you learn life’s lessons from those who have gone before. It is doing the right things, at the right time, for the right reasons. It is the path of peace, happiness, harmonious relationships, accomplishment, abundance, and joy. Instead of struggle, it is the path of ease paved by faith, belief, and allowing.
The really, really neat thing about all this is that rather than taking the hard path up to the top of the mountain you have a choice. The easy path is already there. Take it if you want to. Life is always about choices.
Two paths lie before you today. Which will you take? The choice is yours.

You CAN Get to the Right Place by Going the WRONG Way
Thursday, October 18th, 2007
A few weeks ago I wrote a popular post entitled, You Can’t Get to the Right Place by Going the WRONG WAY! It was the story of the homeless guy trying to get from South Florida to Atlanta, Georgia by heading South, the wrong way.
Well, it seems that I need to rethink it. Sometimes you can get to the right place by going the wrong way.
You will remember hearing about Douglas “Wrong Way” Corrigan who was a pilot who caught America’s fancy in the late 1930’s. It was during the dark days of the Great Depression. Corrigan became a national folk hero and a symbol of those who do things the “wrong way.”
Corrigan’s dream (goal) was to fly across the Atlantic, a feat that had only been accomplished by Lindberg. He filed a flight plan from Newfoundland to Ireland but was denied permission by the authorities. They said his plane was too unsafe.
He then filed a flight plan from New York to Long Beach, California. Twenty-eight hours later he landed in Dublin, Ireland. He told authorities that he accidentally went the WRONG WAY because of low cloud cover and a faulty compass. However, it was noted that he had attached extra fuel tanks to his plane.
Corrigan was lucky to have made it alive. During the flight his fuel tanks started leaking into the cockpit and he used a screwdriver to punch holes in the floorboard to let the fuel drain out. It could have been a disaster had the fuel hit the hot exhaust pipes.
From that day forward he was known a “Wrong Way” Corrigan. He retuned to America and was given a ticker tap parade down Broadway in New York. He became a cultural Icon. Corrigan never admitted that he flew to Ireland intentionally.
There are a lot of lessons that can be learned from Corrigan. But one is that he was determined to accomplish his goal and he wasn’t going to let anyone stop him. Even it meant going the “wrong way” he would achieve his dream. A high point of his life was when President Franklin Roosevelt assured him that he didn’t doubt his story for a minute.
Successful people always find a way.
