I Have Given Up Hope
Wednesday, October 17th, 2007
Yep, you are the first to read it. You can say you saw it right here on this blog post. I have finally given up hope. It didn’t just happen today. It’s been a long time coming. I could sense it. And now, I want to encourage you to give up hope as well.We simply must give up hope if we are to succeed. How many times do people say things like, “I sure hope this works,” “I hope I get this job,” “I hope I have enough money,” “I hope things start to get better?”
These kinds of statements reflect a belief that our happiness and success in life is dependent upon someone else or something else. I’m here to say that no one is going to get you out of the mess you’ve created except you. No one is going to magically make your goals come to pass except you. What many people call “hope” is that which keeps them from accepting responsibility and taking action.
It’s time to give up hope and take action. Do something, even if it’s wrong. Whatever you do will be better than sitting there hoping things will work out for the best.
I like this statement by Dr. Robert Anthony, “Once you’ve told your subconscious that you have done everything that you can do, trust it to take care of the rest…Begin by knowing that you have already arrived, that at the Being level you already have everything that you need.”
You are already a success. You are already wealthy. You are already healthy. You are already happy.
You are in control. You and only you can choose what you want to think and what you want to believe.
